Below is a list of free image editing programs. These are probably more advanced than MS Paint. There are also some 'try before you buy' temporary downloads that allow you to test popular programs that cost money. The Gimp - A Free downgraded version of Paint Shop Pro. Very high standards considering it is free, ideal for beginners. You must first download GTK.Paint.NET - Free program that is considered as a great step up from MS Paint.Brushstrokes - 'Brushstrokes is a popular free paint program - graphics editor - photo manipulator - bitmap editor. This is ideal for photographers.'QFX - 'QFX combines the features of both a paint and a draw program in a single integrated graphics environment.'Others: TRY BEFORE YOU BUY: Photoshop - Probably one of the best known photo manipulation programs on the market. This download is temporary, because the full version is very expensive, depending on what version you buy.Paint Shop Pro - 'A less compact version of Photoshop, more user friendly and better for beginners, although some opinions vary.'
